“After attempting to care for my father at home for two years and being unable to meet his needs, I finally see that he is getting the care he requires at Woodbine. He's been here for 4 years now, and I'd like to thank the nursing staff especially for their care and service they are providing for my father. They always keep me in the loop and notify me immediately if something changes, and for that I am deeply grateful.”

“I am writing this review out of deep concern and frustration after witnessing the care provided at Woodbine Rehabilitation Center during my mother’s stay. From the beginning, basic standards of cleanliness were not consistently maintained. Her room was not properly cleaned upon admission, and on multiple occasions when she used the commode, it was left uncleaned for extended periods—sometimes 30 minutes to an hour—creating an unsanitary and undignified situation for a vulnerable patient. At times, her meals were also brought while the commode had not been cleaned, which made it extremely distressing for her to be expected to eat in the same environment. More concerning is the lack of urgency in responding to clear signs of illness. My mother developed diarrhea and later began vomiting. We immediately notified staff, including nurses and doctors, yet there was a significant delay in response and no timely assessment or intervention. For a patient in obvious distress, this level of inattention was extremely upsetting. I also witnessed a troubling situation involving another resident. An elderly man was left sitting in a hallway in a corner with his legs elevated while his diaper was visibly saturated and had leaked through his clothing. At the time, there were multiple staff members sitting at the nurses’ station, but none made any effort to assist him. In the days leading up to my mother’s discharge, he remained in the same area even though several beds appeared to be available in nearby rooms. It was upsetting and difficult to understand why he was left there for so long. He did not appear to have anyone advocating for him, and I genuinely felt bad for him. The food quality was also consistently poor and not appropriate for patients in a rehabilitation setting. In addition, when we asked staff for assistance, it often felt like requests were redirected or passed to someone else rather than being handled directly. This contributed to a sense of disorganization and lack of accountability. There was also serious miscommunication regarding my mother’s physical therapy. I was given incorrect contact information, and when I called the number provided, they had no record or information about her PT care. This lack of coordination and accountability added unnecessary stress during an already difficult situation. Overall, my experience has raised significant concerns about cleanliness, responsiveness, communication, and the dignity afforded to residents. I am deeply troubled by what I have seen and believe this facility needs serious review to ensure patients are receiving safe, respectful, and attentive care.”
