“We had our baby here three weeks ago and were extremely pleased with the care we received overall. The nursing staff was incredible and made what could have been a stressful experience feel calm, supportive, and well-handled. Makayla, in particular, was absolutely outstanding. She was kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and cared for. We truly can’t thank her enough — she made a huge difference in our experience and is someone this hospital is very lucky to have. The only downside we encountered was with one anesthesiologist, Tina, who unfortunately had a poor attitude and made that part of the process less pleasant than it needed to be. That said, everyone else we interacted with was fantastic. Overall, we’re very grateful for the care we received and would absolutely recommend Fort Sanders, especially because of amazing staff members like Makayla.”

“I had a scare when my water broke at 34 weeks, and I was due for a planned C-section at 37. I’m so happy that Fort Sanders was the hospital I was due to deliver at, because I cannot say enough kind things about the entire process. I was scared as with any surgery, but the entire staff taking care of me during my labor, my c-section, and post partum went above and beyond. The Antepartum ward was so kind and took such great care of me after delivering my baby boy. While I was anxious to be away from him, I knew he was in the best care at Dollys Children’s while I had to heal. The staff was excellent at letting me visit as often as I could as many times as I wanted. Whenever I was back in my room, they were kind and attentive and got me whatever I needed when I asked. I couldn’t ask for better care or staff. Receiving a card in the mail after I delivered my son, with all the nurses who took care of me warmed my heart. It’s not necessary, but knowing they took the time to write me and congratulate me on my sweet boy warmed my heart. I cannot thank Fort Sanders enough for their excellent care and round the clock support.”
